The Owenego is an ideal spot for a wedding if you’re looking for a quaint coastal New England Inn vibe. With unbeatable views, an adorable inn and sprawling lawn overlooking the Sound. The Owenego, being primarily a beach club and a staple of Branford, has a different approach to their events than other venues. You will feel like a welcomed guest arriving for your stay at the Inn or a day at the beach rather than just another wedding. The charm of the venue mixed with the impeccable attention to detail throughout the event by Wildflower Events created a chic coastal summer celebration for Clare and Jeff. This wedding nuanced comforting, familiar small town New England summer elements while also feeling elegant and upscale.
This custom stationary done by the talented Tulaloo created the perfect first impression for the aesthetic of the day.
Clare chose a simple yet stunning gown from Everthine Bride in Madison, Connecticut.
Clare and her maids snuck in some portraits pre ceremony out on the lawn and in front of the pergola.
The ceremony details were some of my favorites! Wild Flower Events seamlessly tied each element together for that “Chic Coastal Grandma” look. The alter was composed of intricate blue and white porcelain vases sprouting with luscious blooms by Earth Blossoms.
This seating chart custom made by EMU studios was a showstopper as the guests arrived to the Inn.

When getting married at the Owenego, sunset photos are a must. The jetty is an ideal location when the sun is lower. It also offers an opportunity to capture the venue in the background. We took only a few minutes away from the party to grab these portraits and it was worth every second.
Clare and Jeff opted for a more private cake cutting towards the end of the night. Because of this there was no interrupting the dance floor and I love that you can see the reception going on in the background.
